Sunwing to resume summer sun flights from YYZ and YUL

Sunwing’s ‘Steal of a Deal Sale’ features savings of up to 35% off

TORONTO — Winter bookings are on the rise, says Sunwing, and its new ‘Steal of a Deal Sale’ will help maintain that momentum.

Featuring savings of up to 35% of popular vacation packages, the sale comes following over a year without travel, which Sunwing says has resulted in lots of pent-up demand. With the sale, travellers who’ve been dreaming of sunny skies and white sand beaches can save big on select packages booked between now and June 11, 2021, for travel between Nov. 1, 2021 to April 30, 2022.

With demand anticipated to increase as a return-to-travel draws closer, Sunwing is encouraging travellers to act fast to secure their future vacation, before prices significantly increase.

“We’re starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel as our customers start to book their future vacations,” said Andrew Dawson, President of Tour Operations for Sunwing. “With fully vaccinated residents south of the border making an enthusiastic return to travel, we’re now seeing Canadians following suit.”

He added: “Our recently announced regional routes have also been extremely popular and are selling out from coast to coast as Canadians seek out frictionless vacation experiences more than ever before.”

According to Sunwing’s Chief Marketing Officer, Samantha Taylor, more sun-seekers are choosing to travel as a group and reunite in the tropics. She noted that with more regional gateways available for the 2021-2022 winter season – including Sudbury, London and cities across Atlantic Canada – it’s easier than ever for groups to reconnect in destination, even when they’re taking off from different airports across the country.

“From family reunions to reconnecting with friends and group getaways, travellers are getting a head start on planning their winter escape while taking advantage of incredible early booking deals,” said Taylor. We’re seeing an increasing number of customers seek out personalized and enhanced vacation experiences to make up for lost time, including upgrading to premium room categories, opting for private resort transfers and staying at ultra-luxurious resorts.”

Travellers can take advantage of exclusive perks at select resorts when 10 adults or more travel together, including reduced deposits of $150 per person, private transfers and spa discounts. Plus, for a limited time, groups can enjoy free travel for the sixth adult on select bookings made by July 13, 2021 to RIU Hotels & Resorts and Royalton Luxury Resorts for travel between Nov. 1, 2021 and April 30, 2022.

Customers can also book with peace of mind knowing that the highest Canadians standards are in place with the Safe with Sunwing program, which was developed under the advisement of global healthcare leader Medcan.
