TORONTO — Transcend Cruises has tapped luxury travel veteran Edie Rodriguez to lead its next chapter as the charter-only river cruise company expands its presence in Europe’s group and MICE markets.
Rodriguez joins as Chief Executive Officer and a Member of the Board of Directors, bringing leadership experience across several major cruise brands. She will oversee the company’s strategic direction, brand development and growth, with a focus on delivering immersive river cruise experiences for corporations, associations and affinity groups.
Her cruise industry background includes senior roles with Crystal Cruises, including Crystal River Cruises and Crystal Yacht Expedition Cruises, Royal Caribbean’s Azamara Cruises, Carnival Corporation’s Cunard and Seabourn brands, and Ponant Cruises.
Rodriguez has also held tourism advisory and board positions, including serving as a Special Advisor to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund and as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Tourism Authority, where she chaired its Nominating and Remuneration Committee. She has also advised private equity firm Blackstone.

Rodriguez succeeds Gregg Marston, who will step down as CEO but remain on the company’s Board of Directors. The transition will provide continuity as Transcend pursues its next phase of development, with the remainder of the executive leadership team staying in place.
