TORONTO — WestJet’s most recent schedule update for winter 2026-2027 includes 10 cancelled transborder routes.

As reported on July 8, WestJet had cancelled winter season service out of Toronto, Regina and Saskatoon to Las Vegas, as well as from Calgary to Chicago O’Hare, and from Vancouver to Atlanta, Orlando, Lihue, LA. and Fort Lauderdale.

According to Aeroroutes, which tracks worldwide airline schedule and network changes, the Vancouver service changes bring the number of WS transborder routes out of YVR from 11 to 6.

Aeroroutes also reports that WestJet has cancelled winter season service to Atlanta from Edmonton.

WestJet isn’t alone. Canadian carriers including Air Canada and Air Transat have also been cutting back transborder capacity. While year-over-year Canada-to-U.S. visitor numbers are improving slightly, they’re still down significantly compared to pre-‘Elbows Up.’
