Cayman Islands removes on-island antigen testing for fully vaccinated travellers

GRAND CAYMAN — The Cayman Islands is removing on-island antigen testing for fully vaccinated travellers, effective today, Feb. 18.

According to the Cayman Islands Government, starting today, fully vaccinated travellers are no longer required to complete on-island antigen testing on days 2, 5 and 7 after arrival.

A negative antigen or PCR test conducted the day prior to arrival is still required for entry and applies to all travellers ages 5 and over.

In addition, the Government announced that public gathering limits will have a new maximum capacity f 500 persons for indoor events, and 1,000 for outdoor events.

Plus, fully vaccinated travellers are no longer required to take a COVID-19 test prior to travelling domestically between Grand Cayman to the islands of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.

WestJet will service the Cayman Islands with nonstop, twice-weekly service from Toronto to Grand Cayman starting Feb. 20, 2022, while Air Canada will launch weekly service beginning in May. American Airlines, Delta and United also offer service to Grand Cayman with connections from cities across Canada.
