More self-service tools with ACV, with Feb. 23 webinars for how-to’s

MONTREAL — With call centre volumes ramping up rapidly, ACV has announced more enhancements to its self-service tools.

Now for the first time agents can use self-service tools to access reservations made online and in the call centre for bookings in Mexico, the Caribbean, Las Vegas, Hawaii, California and Orlando.

Plus, future travel credits can be applied as payment for all bookings made online for these destinations.

The new improvements also include the ability to add a customer’s Aeroplan number to an existing reservation, as well as make special requests for traveller accommodations.

These extra tools, as well as those launched in late 2021, can be accessed through ACV’s website and all external distribution channels, including Sirev, Galileo Vacations, and Sabre Vacations.

Clients can also access their reservations directly online and modify certain elements of their booking via the Manage Your Booking page on aircanadavacations.com.

With an eye to helping agents learn about the new enhancements, ACV is hosting a webinar for the trade, offering the chance to win a $250 Future Travel Credit.

The English-language webinar takes place Wed. Feb. 23, 2022 at 1 p.m. EST. Agents can use this link to register for the English-language webinar.

The French-language webinar is also scheduled for Wed. Feb. 23, 2022, starting at 10 a.m. EST. Agents can use this link to register for the French-language webinar.

Says ACV’s VP, Nino Montagnese: “We know the workload that comes with managing a reservation right now, so we’re looking for ways to help alleviate some of that pressure off our trade partners. To mitigate the volume of requests agencies are getting after hours, we’re making reservations more accessible to travellers. We’re always trying to do better for our industry, and all these new capabilities come from the feedback that the trade has given us.”
