Travel Again coalition hosts Global Travel Industry Advocacy Roundtable

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Travel Again coalition, including members ACTA, IATA, CLIA, USTOA, WTTC, ASTA and many more, hosted a Global Travel Industry Advocacy Roundtable recently to talk strategy and the restart of the global travel and tourism industries.

In total there are 19 major trade organizations within the industry taking part in Travel Again. News of the coalition first surfaced in fall 2020.

Travel Again says its objective is to further align global efforts behind common messaging and industry standards developed in collaboration with medical experts.

“Recognizing the need to reopen travel safely and responsibly, the session focused on identifying common global standards and policies that can help accelerate the recovery of the travel industry,” said a spokesperson.

Next steps include expanding the scope of this effort to include participation from industry groups from all parts of the world.

Travel Again’s co-founder and CEO is Mike McCormick, whose industry background includes 10 years as Executive Director and COO of the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), from 2009 to 2019.
