Switzerland lifts just about all of its COVID-19 restrictions

TORONTO — Pascal Prinz, Director Canada and Trade Manager Central USA for Switzerland Tourism, is sharing some good news with the Canadian travel trade: Switzerland has eased its travel rules, effective today, Feb. 17, 2022.

As before, only fully vaccinated Canadians (vaccinated within the last 270 days) may enter Switzerland.

However, for the entry, no Swiss COVID Certificate and no Passenger Locator Form are needed, says Prinz. The same is true (no certificate or locator form needed) to access facilities and venues such as cinemas, theatres, and restaurants, as well as events.

There are also no longer any mask requirements in shops, restaurants, other public settings (venues, and events) and in the workplace. Mask requirements remain for public transportation and health institutions until March 31.
