Small plane closes two lanes of B.C.’s Highway 91 south of Vancouver

DELTA, B.C. — Police say a highway in a Vancouver suburb is closed after a small plane ended up on the road.

Local TV is showing images of the aircraft blocking two lanes of Highway 91 in Delta.

The Ministry of Transportation’s DriveBC website is reporting the southbound lanes are closed between 72 and 64 Avenues, and there is no estimate of when the highway would reopen.

Delta police are confirming the incident but have not released any details.

It’s not known if the plane landed or crashed or if anyone was injured.
