Silversea announces eight new Grand Voyages for 2024-2025

MONACO — Silversea Cruises has unveiled a new collection of eight Grand Voyages for 2024-2025, including three new expedition itineraries.

Designed by the company’s destination experts, these extended journeys range from 57 to 125 days in length, giving guests more immersive explorations of all seven continents.

“With the global restart of cruise travel through 2021 and 2022, we saw – and continue to see – a strong demand for extended voyages among our guests,” said Barbara Muckermann, Chief Commercial Officer, Silversea Cruises. “People are prioritizing travel like never before, with a sense of urgency that is unprecedented. Our Grand Voyages tap into a growing interest among luxury travellers for more immersive travel experiences that take them closer to the authentic beauty of the world.”

The eight new Grand Voyages for 2024 and 2025 include the following:

  • Grand Mediterranean 2024: This 57-day voyage sails onboard the Silver Whisper from Athens to Lisbon and includes 50 destinations in 12 countries. Departing in the early season on April 20 to June 16, 2024, guests will visit such iconic ports as Rome, Venice and Rhodes, as well as lesser-visited gems like Gallipoli, Amorgos and Kotor.
  • Grand Pacific 2024: Sailing aboard Silver Muse, this 57-day exploration sails from Tokyo to Sydney on Sept. 26 to Nov. 22, 2024, visiting 27 destinations in Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand. Guests will also enjoy multi-day calls in places like Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh.

  • Grand South Pacific Expedition 2024: This 75-day journey visits 60 destinations in 11 countries, departing Aug. 25 to Nov. 7, 2024 onboard the Silver Cloud. Highlights include Aitutaki, Bora Bora, Easter Island, Australia’s Kimberley Coast, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Tonga and Wyndham, gateway to the World Heritage-listed Bungle Bungle Range.
  • Grand Arctic Expedition 2024: Sailing from Longyearbyen to Vancouver on July 14-Oct. 4, 2024, this 82-day odyssey aboard the Silver Wind visits 70 destinations in five countries. It opens with a focus on Norway’s Svalbard Archipelago before exploring the geothermal wonderland of Iceland. From there, guests will sail the fabled Northwest Passage from Kangerlussuaq, Greenland to Nome, Alaska, capping off with Alaska’s Inside Passage.
  • Grand Pole to Pole Expedition 2024: On this epic 125-day adventure aboard Silver Wind from Puerto Williams to Longyearbyen, guests will sail to 90 destination in 21 countries, departing Feb. 22 to June 26, 2024. Beginning with Antarctica, the voyage will then sail the Amazon River along the east coast of South America before heading northward to the Atlantic shores of Africa and Europe. Guests will subsequently explore the Arctic, Iceland and Arctic Norway.

  • Grand South America 2025: The brand new Silver Ray will make its inaugural visit to South America with this 71-day circumnavigation of the continent. Sailing roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale on Jan. 20 to April 1, 2025, this voyage includes such highlights as the Panama Canal, Chile, an overnight in Manaus, extended stays in cities like Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro as well as a host of Caribbean islands like Barbados, Saint Lucia, Antigua, Puerto Rico and more.
  • Grand Africa and Arabia 2025: Departing Feb. 22 to April 27, 2025, this 64-day journey aboard Silver Spirit sails from Cape Town to Athens and includes 30 destinations in 13 countries. Guests will witness the amazing flora and fauna of Madagascar, snorkel in the Seychelles, cruise by houseboat through the waterways of Kerala, India, and discover the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Valley of the Kings in Egypt.

  • Grand Asia 2025: Sailing roundtrip from Singapore, this 70-day journey departs on Feb. 15, 2025 and returns April 26, 2025 after visiting 34 destinations in nine countries. Highlights include a 14-day circumnavigation of Japan with a call in lesser-known Kanazawa, extensive explorations of China and South Korea, two overnight calls in Bangkok and two nights in Ho Chi Minh City.

Silversea’s all-inclusive Grand Voyages include private executive transfers, business class air, one-night pre-cruise hotel stay, US$1,000 onboard spending credit per guest, exclusive shoreside events, unlimited Wi-Fi and more. Plus, one shore excursion per port, per day is included in the cruise fare, and guess are able to book their experiences immediately for all published sailings.

Silversea is also offering a new collection of 21 Combination Cruises for 20204. These handpicked extended journeys combine two or more consecutive voyages that provide a comprehensive exploration of a region. Among the new options are:

  • Silver Dawn’s 22-day Southampton-to-Copenhagen cruise through the British Isles and Norway, departing May 14, 2024
  • Silver Muse’s 14-day Alaska cruise sailing roundtrip from Seward, departing June 20, 2024
  • Silver Moon’s 28-day Venice-to-Lisbon Mediterranean cruise, departing Sept. 20, 2024 with overnight calls in Sorrento and Cádiz
