Insight returns to land of the Nile with Wonders of Egypt itinerary

TORONTO — Insight Vacations celebrated its return to Egypt this month with their first trip back to the land of the Nile, taking a group of guests and a small global contingent of media hosted in part by global CEO John Boulding.

The group experienced the 10-day Wonders of Egypt itinerary with Insight’s exclusive Signature Experiences including visits to Giza, Karnak and the Valley of the Kings.

“I had the great privilege of being able to join our guests on the first departure back to Egypt since 2013 and it was a fantastic experience, from the warm welcome by the locals to the rich history and culture that this iconic destination is renowned for,” said Boulding. “Insight has been working closely with Egypt for more than 30 years and we are thrilled to be assisting the re-growth of tourism in this vibrant country, supporting airport staff, ship crew, knowledgeable local guides and our expert Tour Directors.”

Upon arrival in Egypt, Insight Vacations guests are met by local guides prior to passport control to ensure the process goes smoothly and hassle-free, assisting with acquiring an arrival visa and arranging private transfers from Cairo International Airport to the Cairo Marriott. The Cairo Marriott is an Insight Vacations Signature Hotel where guests will receive a genuine Egyptian welcome for their stay.

Guests on the Wonders of Egypt have a four-day luxury cruise from Luxor to Aswan along the Nile River complete with an Egyptian dinner and galabeya party. On this first departure, guests were treated to a stay on the River Tosca, which is operated by sister brand Uniworld Boutique River Cruises and is slated to be regularly featured on Insight’s Elegance of Egypt and Elegance of the Pharaohs Gold Luxury escorted journeys starting in September.

Insight’s Tour Director acts as a ‘travelling concierge’ and is with guests every step of the way. From providing expert knowledge on local customs to arranging transfers and transportation, “it’s like having a friend in a foreign land”.
