TORONTO — Sunwing Vacations is highlighting the reopening of two newly renovated RIU Hotels & Resorts properties in Cancun and Aruba, both featuring refreshed accommodations, new dining concepts and expanded amenities.

RIU Palace Peninsula in Cancun and RIU Palace Aruba in Palm Beach are once again welcoming guests, with both properties introducing RIU’s elevated Elite Club concept as part of their updates.

RIU PALACE PENINSULA 

In Cancun, RIU Palace Peninsula now features new Elite Club by RIU rooms and services, offering guests access to exclusive benefits.

Families will find a new children’s pool, while the resort’s dining lineup has expanded with a new Asian restaurant, a Sports Bar serving à la carte American favourites, Tiki Taco taquería and an ice cream station.

As part of the renovation, the resort’s former adults-only area is now reserved exclusively for Elite Club guests. Two relaxation pools have replaced the former jacuzzi.

The Kulinarium gourmet restaurant, RIU Art and billiards are no longer available at the resort.

RIU PALACE ARUBA 

RIU Palace Aruba has also added Elite Club by RIU, with new Junior Suites and Suites along with swim-up Junior Suites and swim-up Suites for Elite Club guests.

The upgraded experience includes an exclusive Elite Club restaurant and beach bar with a private sun terrace.

Dining options have also been refreshed with a new steakhouse, the American Country Sports Bar and restaurant, Pepe’s Food grill and Tiki Taco taco station. A mixologist will also serve a daily signature drink.

For families, the resort has introduced a new RIULand kids’ club and a children’s pool with slides.

Other changes include the removal of the resort’s conference facilities and rooms with balcony jacuzzis. Renova Spa services are now available at neighbouring RIU Palace Antillas.

Both renovated properties are available to Canadian travellers as vacation packages through Sunwing Vacations.
