CALGARY — A spokeswoman for WestJet says its new, low-cost airline may not be based in Calgary.

Lauren Stewart says WestJet is considering locations that would allow it to take advantage of lower-cost markets.

The airline has said the announcement of its new airline will be delayed until next summer.

Stewart says WestJet is still working on elements related to the launch – namely the organizational structure, routes, schedules, services and branding.
