ACTA and Los Cabos Tourism Board host immersive trip for Canadian agents

TORONTO — Canadian travel advisors got an up-close look at one of Mexico’s fastest-growing sun destinations during a recent immersive learning experience in Los Cabos hosted by ACTA and the Los Cabos Tourism Board.

The five-day program, which took place May 25-29, brought together 24 ACTA-member travel advisors for a combination of educational sessions, site inspections and cultural experiences designed to deepen their knowledge of the destination.

Throughout the week, participants explored both San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, taking part in culinary experiences, hotel visits and destination activities that showcased the breadth of tourism offerings available in Los Cabos.

“When I saw that ACTA was hosting a Los Cabos Immersive Destination Experience, I was immediately drawn to the amazing learning opportunity that the itinerary offered,” said Jennifer McPherson, CTC, Turnkey Travel, TravelOnly.

“From gastronomy experiences to site inspections with incredible beaches and sunsets, the envy of any TikTok video, I can certainly see why this is emerging as a top sun destination. I have sent many clients to Mexican and Caribbean destinations, but this week I am falling in love with the variety of land and ocean experiences offered in Los Cabos, coupled with its fresh, artsy vibe. I will definitely recommend Los Cabos to my colleagues and clients.”

As part of the experience, advisors also shared content across social media platforms, highlighting destination experiences in real time and providing authentic insights for clients and industry peers.

The program comes as Los Cabos continues to see growing interest from Canadian travellers. Several new air routes are scheduled to launch for the upcoming winter season, increasing connectivity from Canada.

New service includes three-times-weekly flights from Toronto beginning Nov. 16 with Porter Airlines, 4x/weekly service from Edmonton beginning Nov. 16 with Porter Airlines, twice-weekly flights from Ottawa beginning Dec. 18 with Porter Airlines and weekly service from Montreal beginning Dec. 10 with Air Transat.
