World’s biggest ship arrives in the U.S.

MIAMI — The world’s largest cruise ship, Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas, has officially arrived in the U.S. ahead of its March 4 debut.

Spanning 1,188 feet and 18 decks and accommodating 6,988 guests, Royal Caribbean’s newest ship arrived in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Feb. 20 in preparation of its maiden voyage. It will set sail from Port Everglades on seven-night cruises to the Caribbean and Royal Caribbean’s private island destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas, before heading to Barcelona and Rome to kick off summer vacations in the Mediterranean in May 2022. In November, the ship will return to the Caribbean and The Bahamas, sailing from its year-round home, Port Canaveral.

Wonder of the Seas features eight unique neighbourhoods, including the ‘Suite Neighborhood,’ a Royal Caribbean first, as well as a new southern restaurant and bar called The Mason Jar, which serves up southern staples. Guests will also find onboard the Wonder Playscape, an all-new interactive outdoor play area, The Ultimate Abyss, the tallest slide at sea, the FlowRider surf simulator, rock climbing walls and the Central Park neighbourhood lined with more than 20,000 real plants.

Sailings are now open for bookings. For more information click here.
