U River Cruises relaunches The B and adds three new itineraries

TORONTO — U River Cruises has announced three new itineraries and the relaunch of The B ship for 2020.

Set to debut in April 2020, some of the European destinations that U River Cruises will be sailing to are Vienna, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Salzburg, Bratislava and more. New offerings on seven-night itineraries include complimentary happy hour every night, overnight stays and active excursions.

The A will offer the new ‘Vienna Vibe’ and ‘Eastern Europe Escapes’ itineraries, whereas The B will offer the ‘Amsterdam & Brussels Bound’ sailing and an updated ‘Rolling on the Rhine’ itinerary. Cruises can be combined to create 14-night cruises without repeating ports.

“U’s itineraries are created with active, social and culturally curious travellers in mind – free time to allow travellers to wander on their own, unique choice of active and immersive excursions with local hosts, and a vibrant onboard environment that encourages fun, social connections with like-minded guests. We’ve also added in extra overnight stays to allow for a more in-depth exploration of the cities beyond just the highlights.” comments CEO of U River Cruises, Ellen Bettridge.

U River Cruises’ new itineraries in 2020 include:

AMSTERDAM & BRUSSELS BOUND: Set to begin on April 3, 2020, guests will sail between Amsterdam and Brussels and explore Rotterdam, Middelburg, Ghent and Antwerp. In the city of Antwerp, U’s local guide will introduce guests to local breweries, bars and hot spots of the destination.

VIENNA VIBE: This eight-day itinerary sails between Nuremberg and Vienna beginning on April 10, 2020. Excursions include a street art tour of Linz, a tour of Munich via a nine-seater Bulli, a hike in the Wachau Valley and a special class to learn the Viennes Waltz.

ROLLING ON THE RHINE: April 17, 2020 will be the first date of this itinerary that sails between Amsterdam and Frankfurt. Travellers visit Hoorn, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Koblenz and Rudesheim, and will enjoy new excursions such as a nighttime Crime Cruise, the Taste of Holland Triathlon, and Game of Wines.

EASTERN EUROPE ESCAPE: Beginning April 24, 2020, this new itinerary takes travellers to both popular and lesser-known destinations in Europe. The trip stops in Bratislava, Budapest, Mohacs (Hungary), and Novi Sad (Serbia) while sailing between Vienna and Belgrade. Some highlights of the trip include coffee shops and boutiques in the trendy 7th district of Vienna, and a guided tour of Bratislava’s top Soviet monuments and markets.

Included in the itinerary are three daily meals, select shore excursions, complimentary Wi-Fi, onboard local U hosts, complimentary happy hour every day, onboard gratuities and other popular activities such as mixology classes, silent discos, paint & wine class and rooftop yoga.
