TORONTO — A travel advisor at The Travel Agent Next Door has won big with a recent Air Canada contest.

Jackie Weinkam has won 250,000 Aeroplan points after correctly answering weekly questions as part of the ‘Your Turn to Travel’ contest. The contest, which was offered by Air Canada in conjunction with Aeroplan, ran last month.

Calling her big win a “dream come true,” Weinkam plans to spend her points on business class tickets for herself and her husband to Australia next year. She began her career in travel just prior to the pandemic in 2019, and for the past two years has focused mainly on completing virtual training. This year, Weinkam says, has been very busy, with a large cruise group of 100 people booked on an Alaskan cruise.
