TravelBrands brings back SickKids Day with new one-day sales donation

TORONTO — TravelBrands is bringing back its annual SickKids Day with a new pledge to donate 1% of all sales made on Aug. 16, 2023 to Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children.

In addition to this one-day sales contribution, TravelBrands is involved in year-round efforts to raise both funds and awareness for the Foundation, including the 8th Annual Charity Golf Classic, scheduled this year for Sept. 7. It’s encouraging travel agents to contribute to the cause by donating their Loyalty Rewards Points to the SickKids Foundation through

The travel company first established its partnership with the SickKids Foundation back in 2016.

“The SickKids Foundation holds profound significance for our organization,” says Nathalie Tanious, CEO, TravelBrands. “We are honoured to partner with the SickKids Foundation, allowing us to involve the travel community in this vital cause. Our support for this community, which encompasses families and children in need of exceptional care, remains central to our mission.”

Katie McHugh-Escobar, Director, Community Partnerships at SickKids Foundation, added: “We are incredibly grateful to have partners like TravelBrands and their customers who continue to show tremendous generosity towards SickKids.

“For the last seven years, the TravelBrands team has gone above and beyond to fundraise for critical programming in the hospital, like the Labatt Family Heart Centre. That level of dedication to the cause helps make the centre at SickKids among the top three heart centres in the world, where innovation is consistently leading to better outcomes for patients with heart disease.”
