TORONTO — Transat Holidays launched its 2014-2015 Europe program this week with a 218-page brochure with product in 10 countries.
“We started as a European operator and our European program is as significant as our southern program,” said Denise Heffron, vice-president national sales and commercial. “Not many operators can say that.”
Increased seat pitch in the refurbished A310s and A330s have brought praise for Air Transat with the carrier being named Best Airline for Family Travel.
The carrier will fly to 29 destinations in Europe with new flights to Prague from Toronto and Montreal and a new service to Marseille from Toronto.
The brochure highlights a wide-ranging variety of product and travel styles.
The 12 different options include city packages, city packages plus excursions, seaside packages, a city-hopping package, island hopping in Greece, cruise and coach touring in Greece, long-stay vacations, self-drive holidays, regional tours with a maximum of seven people per vehicle, escorted coach tours, coach tour plus pre- or post-stays in a city and tour and cruise.
Agents can custom design holidays for clients with a la carte travel products from hotels and B&Bs to car rental and excursions.
Transat Holidays also offers cruises with many of the leading cruise lines and offers river cruises on Uniworld and AMA Waterways.
Transat can arrange air to connect with cruise departures using 60 different airlines, said Nicole Bursey, commercial director, Ontario & Atlantic Canada.
Couples can save $200 on Air Transat flights when booked with a Transat Holidays cruises next summer if booked by Dec. 31. This offer is available on flights to Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Basel, Istanbul, Lisbon, London, Lyon, Malaga, Marseille, Nice, Paris, Porto, Rome and Venice.
To encourage early booking, Transat is offering a reduced deposit of $100 instead of $250 and a Price Guarantee for bookings made by March 31.
