TTAND celebrates larger offices, 18 months with Open House

TORONTO — The Travel Agent Next Door (TTAND) held an Open House last night to show off its new offices in downtown Toronto.

The organization was also celebrating 18 months in business and invited a range of preferred suppliers.

Founder Flemming Friidahl told guests that TTAND had sales of more than $10 million so far this year – “not bad for such a new company”.

TTAND has grown to 15 employees and this led to the move to larger premises in the same building at 55 York St.

The newest employee is Lindsay Caven who is Manager, Supplier & New Agent Relations.

TTAND now has three divisions – home-based agents (there are now 140); support for small- to medium-sized Associate Agencies (now numbering 50) and a New Agent program created for people who want to start a career in travel (13 have been trained with five more signing up).

Friisdahl read a number of testimonials from agents that included “The Travel Agent Next Door is one host agency that is doing EVERYTHING RIGHT!”

TTAND has an affiliation with TRAVELSAVERS and the Affluent Traveler Collection and has the head office in Toronto and a branch office in Vancouver with BCCP, ACTA, TICO, CLIA and IATA designations. For more information, visit thetravelagentnextdoor.ca or call 416-367-TAND (8263).
