Tauck makes big play for Canadian market share; Cdn$ pricing, brochures for 2018

WILTON, CT — For the first time in its 92-year history Tauck is pricing its trips in local currency for the Canadian market. The guided tour and cruise operator says it wants to make it easier for Canadian travel agents and vacationers to work with the company, by pricing its 2018 journeys in Canadian dollars.

Tauck will also begin publishing dedicated Canadian brochures featuring the company’s 100+ guided tours and cruises, all priced in Canadian currency. The company’s Canadian website tauck.ca has also been updated to display the new pricing.

According to Tauck Vice President for Global Sales Steve Spivak, pricing the company’s products in Canadian dollars reflects Tauck’s quest for excellence across all facets of its business. “For 92 years we’ve been dedicated to continually enhancing the travel experiences we provide to our guests, and that same drive for constant improvement extends to every aspect of our business,” said Spivak. “Travelling on a Tauck journey is a seamless and hassle-free experience, and doing business with us should be exactly the same. We’re excited to take our service in the Canadian market to the next level.”

With its journeys priced in Canadian dollars, Tauck will now be able to guarantee prices at the time guests pay their initial deposit, thus eliminating any subsequent pricing adjustments caused by exchange rate fluctuations. Agents based in both Canada and the U.S. will be able to take advantage of Canadian pricing for any clients with a primary address within Canada.

The company’s first brochure priced in Canadian dollars will promote Tauck’s 2018 European river cruises. It is set to publish in April.
