Speed Networking session to kick off each day of WTM London

LONDON — These days, it’s all about networking, and the faster you make connections, the better. This will be particularly true at this year’s WTM London where a Speed Networking session will kick off each day’s events.

Taking place from Nov. 5-7, the annual World Travel Mart is expanding the opportunity for business to be conducted through these sessions.

The first day will start with the traditional regional speed networking event, with more than 200 buyers taking tables split by exhibition floor geographies they purchase. In 2017, approximately 1,000 exhibitor personnel attended the Monday morning speed networking session.

Tuesday, Nov. 6 will see a sector-specific speed networking event, with niches including responsible tourism, food tourism, adventure tourism and weddings and honeymoons covered. Buyers will be seated based on the sectors they purchase.

To attend the two-buyer speed networking sessions, exhibitors must purchase tickets at a cost of £125. The ticket is a company ticket and can be transferred between company representatives. Tickets need to be allocated to company personnel in advance of both sessions, and can be purchased via the Exhibitor Portal on the WTM website.

Last year, exhibitors purchased tickets for £250 for access to the first 30 minutes of both sessions.

The WTM Buyers’ Speed Networking event and the WTM Buyers’ Club are sponsored by ENIT, the Italian Tourist Board.

The final day of WTM London will include the highly successful WTM Digital Influencers’ Speed Networking session, returning for its fifth year. Sponsored by the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office, the event will see 120 leading digital influencers discuss how they can help promote exhibitors’ destinations and products to their legions of loyal followers.

All three events will take place before the exhibition floor opens at 9 a.m. at the Networking Area AS900.
