Silversea’s Grand Voyage will “completely circumnavigate South America”

MIAMI — Silversea has unveiled new details about its Grand Voyage 2018 onboard the Silver Muse, which will sail roundtrip form Fort Lauderdale on Jan. 3, 2018 to some of the most enticing destinations in the Southern Hemisphere.

The ship will completely circumnavigate South America, says the cruise line, visiting 34 ports in 14 countries. Highlights include a crossing of the Panama Cana, cruising Chile’s majestic fjords, a three-day stopover in Rio de Janeiro for Carnival, plus overnight calls in Valparaiso, Punta Arenas, Buenos Aires and Manaus.

Aboard Silver Muse guests will enjoy spacious ocean-view suites, sumptuous cuisine at eight dining venues, the personalized service of a butler and a generous selection of all-inclusive shipboard amenities, including a complimentary selection of wines, premium spirits, specialty coffees, bottled water, juices and soft drinks; in-suite bar stocked with guests’ preferences; in-suite 24-hour dining service; lecture and enrichment programs; roundtrip transportation into town (in most ports); and onboard gratuities (exclusive of spa treatments).

Dining is a major highlight of the voyage, with guest chefs, cooking demonstrations, wine tastings and a new Chef’s Table interactive experience available onboard.

Guests will also enjoy a gala Bon Voyage dinner and overnight stay at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Fort Lauderdale on Jan. 2, a ‘Panama Hat Party’ at the Montecristi Golf Club in Manta, Ecuador on Jan. 12, and a box-seat view of the Carnival Winners’ Parade at the Sambadrome in Rio on Feb. 17.
