Silversea Academy now accessible to Canadian travel agents

MIAMI — Silversea Cruises has made its Silversea Academy accessible to travel agents in Canada for the first time as part of a global enhancement of the digital training platform.

Now accessible to agents around the world, including those in Canada, the United States, LATAM and Asia, the online educational program has been enriched to include 18 training modules.

The training hub enables travel partners to learn more about Silversea’s variety of product offerings, visited destinations, ships and itineraries via an interactive and visually engaging interface. Each module takes an average 20 minutes to complete. At the end of each module, agents are invited to participate in a quiz and are awarded a certificate if completed successfully. In addition, CLIA elective certification credits will be earned upon completion.

Among the training modules now available are: ‘Selling Silversea,’ which provides a comprehensive overview of the cruise line, its ships and broad range of destinations; ‘Expedition Cruise Expert,’ which highlights the luxury expedition cruise experience; and various modules that cover ships’ public spaces, restaurants, suites and voyages. Plus, several modules are dedicated to visited destinations, from Africa and the Indian Ocean, to South America and more.

The Silversea Academy platform also offers easy access to the My.Silversea.com portal, where agents can view and managing bookings as well as access the tools of Marketing Central to create campaigns that feature high-impact, customizable marketing materials. There’s also a convenient ‘Meet the Team’ tab to connect agents with their Silversea sales support team.

This flexibility allows them to fit the educational experience into their own schedule. It’s an invaluable online learning tool.”

To celebrate the launch of the updated and expanded Silversea Academy, travel partners who complete a training module will be entered into a monthly draw, held for three months, for a chance to win a US$200 gift card.
