TORONTO — Registration has opened for Tourism Australia’s upcoming webinar designed specifically for travel advisors new to selling the destination.

Taking place Thursday, April 7 at 2:00 p.m. ET, the webinar will highlight how advisors can become an expert in selling Australia in as little as 90 minutes. Topics will include unique wildlife, coastal regions, food and wine and more.

According to host Paul Larcher, Account Director Canada, Tourism Australia, with the easing of travel restrictions and the return of international tourism to Australia, there’s no better time to sell the iconic destination.

“Australia can be overwhelming to first-time visitors and for agents who haven’t got the experience in selling it,” he says. “The Aussie Specialist Program makes you an expert in selling Australia so you can have engaging conversations about memorable itineraries your clients will be raving about for years.”

Larcher also notes that travel advisors who become an Aussie Specialist sell 35% higher value bookings to the destination. Also worth noting? A total of 62% of leisure travellers return to Australia within five years.
