French tourism better than pre COVID, despite climate woes

MONTREAL — Atout France Canada is bringing back Destination France, its annual trade show for tourism professionals, with an all-new virtual format.

Taking place Feb. 22-25, this year’s event will include webinars, one-on-one online meetings with exhibitors, fun quizzes and several prizes, all of which will focus on the safe return to international travel in 2022.

“It is essential to keep in touch, remind ourselves of the many wonders of France and to maintain business relations and friendships within a shaken but passion-driven industry,” said Mélanie Paul-Hus, Director of the Tourism Development Agency of France in Canada. “The media, consumers as well as industry members, are hungry for inspiration. They demonstrate unparalleled resilience and do not hesitate to mention France as one of the first destinations to visit when travel becomes possible again.”
