Record-setting sales for Air Canada Vacations on Black Friday

MONTREAL — Off-the-charts Black Friday sales helped push Air Canada Vacations to a record breaking day on Nov. 23, with the highest single-day sales in the company’s 38-year history.

Air Canada Vacations says it saw an increase of more than 300% in bookings compared to a normal booking day, on Fri. Nov. 23. Bookings came in for everything from beach destinations in the Caribbean and Mexico, to city breaks in Canada, the U.S. and Europe.

Craig Landry, President, Air Canada Vacations & Senior Vice President, Revenue Optimization at Air Canada, says ACV “continues to diversify its package offerings by presenting a significantly expanded range of unique and authentic travel experiences in addition to conventional vacation packages.

“We are delighted customers are choosing Air Canada Vacations in record numbers for their vacation travel plans, and we look forward to welcoming them onboard our flights.”

ACV is investing considerable resources in upgrading its online experience. As part of its digital transformation ACV is overhauling its website, and agents can expect to see an entirely new site from the company in the first half of 2019.
