[PEOPLE] TTC’s Lion World Travel announces three major appointments

TORONTO – The Travel Corporation, parent company of Lion World Travel and 29 other brands, has announced several senior promotions in its adventure division.

Lucille Sive has been promoted to The Travel Corporation Africa Division CEO, while former Contiki president Brad Ford is now heading up Lion World Travel as its new president.

Sive, affectionately known in the travel industry as ‘The African Queen’, has been at the helm of award-winning Lion World Travel for more than 30 years. In her newly created role, she will be responsible for the continued growth of the Lion World Travel and African Travel Inc. brands in Canada and the United States.

Ford, who’s coming off a five-month sabbatical during which he travelled the globe, will work closely with Sive as president. With over 20 years experience as a travel industry executive, Ford has travelled and worked across South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, Egypt and Zimbabwe. Prior to his new appointment, he led Contiki Canada for more than six years.

Also promoted is a long-time Lion World Travel executive, Leeann Phayre-Mallo, to director, product and operations. Leeann will now oversee all Lion World Travel business process, customer engagement and product delivery to travel agents and clients across North America.
