Parties, memories and a brand new Golden Sale: Goway at 50 has a lot planned for 2020

TORONTO — Goway Travel is celebrating its 50th anniversary in grand style, as a way to say thank you not only to its customers, but to its loyal travel agent and trade partners too.

In 2020 Goway is adding 80 new Destination Specialists, expanding investment in new technologies across its worldwide offices, and kicking off a wide range of marketing initiatives, starting with the company’s 50th Anniversary Golden Sale.

The news comes on the heels of Goway’s announcement last month that it is giving away commemorative gold bars plus exclusive spots on its upcoming Australia fam.

Over 50 years, Goway has evolved with its globetrotters and travel industry partners to become a leader in global travel, says Bruce Hodge, Goway’s President, owner, and founder.

From one office in Toronto, Goway has grown to operate offices in Vancouver, Los Angeles, Sydney, and Manila.

“Not many travel companies get to turn 50 and see so many changes in our industry,” says Hodge. “What hasn’t changed is Goway’s commitment to integrity, innovation, and respect.

“I’m proud of our staff, who through embracing those values have helped make this rare milestone a reality, and grateful for the support of agents and industry partners who’ve shared the journey with us.”

Announced today, Goway’s ‘Golden Sale’ showcases 50 of its best offers to its wide range of destinations.

Plus, starting in April, Goway will be giving away 50 trips to globetrotters in what Goway says could be the biggest giveaway in North American travel industry history.

As mentioned Goway is also sending 50 lucky agent partners to Sydney for a FAM, and to celebrate at Goway’s Sydney office birthday bash in October 2020.

Goway in fact has several anniversary parties planned, including events in Vancouver, Toronto, and Manila.

Says John Feenaghty, Goway’s Chief Operations Officer: “2020 is a landmark year for Goway, and we want to share that celebration with those who’ve helped secure our reputation as one of the most trusted names in travel.”

Agents can check out Goway’s dedicated 50th Anniversary site (, and its Globetrotting Magazine for some of the company’s favourite travel memories, plus insights into the many ways the Canadian travel industry has changed since 1970.

The company has also updated the design of each of Goway’s 50th Anniversary brochures, making them easier than ever to navigate.

Two new Goway roadshows will also travel North America in 2020, bringing our agent partners up to date with the company’s top and new destinations, along with the unique approach of its Destination Specialists.

The first roadshow will tour North America’s West Coast from March 30 – April 3. The second roadshow will tour the East Coast Sept.14 – 18.
