HALIFAX – Treacherous driving conditions and school closures are being reported across the Maritimes today as the region cleans up after a big storm and braces for another one tonight.
Weather warnings have been issued for much of the region and Newfoundland and Labrador.
Winter storm warnings have been issued for southern New Brunswick, where 10 to 15 centimetres of snow is in the forecast.
As well, an extreme cold warning is in effect for northern New Brunswick.
In Nova Scotia, snowfall warnings have been issued for the eastern shore, counties near the Bay of Fundy and Cape Breton.
Up to 20 centimetres of snow is in the forecast for that area as well as all of P.E.I.
The entire island of Newfoundland has been warned to expected a messy mix of heavy snow in the west, and high winds and rain in the east.
