Myrtle Beach’s Can-Am Days kicks off March 11

MYRTLE BEACH — The 62nd Annual Can-Am Days is just days away and Myrtle Beach couldn’t be more excited to welcome back Canadians.

Taking place March 11-19 and hosted by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC) and Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), the annual event has been a calendar highlight for Canadians and snowbirds who flock to Grand Strand for week-long discounts, deals and special events.

Among this year’s events are a welcome reception in the lobby of the Chamber’s visitors centre, and the Ontario Junior Players Invitational at the River Hills Golf & Country Club, both on March 13. On the following day, March 14, the Chamber and Ripley’s Aquarium will host a Can-Am Part on the Plaza at Broadway at the Beach featuring music and entertainment from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Canadians can also request the CAA $2 discount on tickets to Ripley’s Aquarium. Then on March 16, The Hangout in Myrtle Beach will host a Lunch Bingo from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., providing a 10% discount throughout the day with a Canadian ID.

“Myrtle Beach has long been considered a second home for so many Canadians and it has been great to see them return over the last few months,” said Karen Riordan, MBACC and CVB President and CEO. “During the upcoming Can-Am Days, we want to especially express our happiness to host them and provide them with our warm hospitality once again.”

Can-Am Days also includes a long list of special offers at hotels and resorts. Many discounts will be made available beyond the celebratory week and redeemable through the valid dates listed for individual offers. Coupons are not needed to receive discounts, however, some deals have specific stipulations such as proof of a valid Canadian ID.
