Man asks flight attendant girlfriend to marry him in most elaborate in-air proposal ever

DUBAI — We love a good marriage proposal, especially ones that occur at 30,000 feet.

Passengers and crew on Emirates’ flight EK096 from Rome to Dubai were asked to take part in an elaborate, mile-high proposal complete with heart-shaped paper cards, long-stem roses, balloons and streamers, and customized face masks bearing the image of lovestruck proposer, Stefano.

The proposee, Vittoria, an Emirates cabin crew member, was working onboard when she was given the surprise of her life. She emerged from behind a partition to find passengers holding up signs (presumably declarations of love from Stefano) and handing her roses as she made her way to the galley. There, she found Stefano, who got down on bended knee with a diamond ring in front of her fellow flight attendants.

To no one’s surprise, Vittoria said yes. And luckily for all us romantics, the entire romantic proposal was caught on video – at several angles – and uploaded to Emirates’ Instagram so that everyone can share in their love.

Congratulations, Stefano and Vittoria!
