Lopesan debuts three new Punta Cana resorts

PUNTA CANA — Lopesan Hotel Group has expanded its presence in the Dominican Republic with the opening of three new resorts in Punta Cana, marking the company’s largest Caribbean expansion to date.

The simultaneous debut of Lopesan Caoba Lagoon Resort Spa & Casino, Lopesan Serenity Bay Spa & Casino and Lopesan Splash Cove Spa & Casino represents an investment of more than US$350 million and adds more than 1,000 rooms to the company’s Dominican Republic portfolio. Together with the existing Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort Spa & Casino, the company now offers four distinct resort experiences in Punta Cana.

The three new all-inclusive properties welcomed their first guests through a personalized “First Guest Experience,” which included enhanced resort amenities, airport greetings, ceremonial resort welcomes with a cocktail toast and ribbon-cutting and personalized in-room culinary amenities.

Each resort targets a different traveller segment while remaining connected within a larger integrated resort complex:

  • Lopesan Caoba Lagoon Resort Spa & Casino features 554 rooms centred around a 127-metre lagoon pool, cenote-inspired design elements and 10 waterfalls inspired by the brand’s Flow philosophy. The resort will also be home to the new Lopesan Convention Center, which will accommodate more than 2,000 attendees for meetings and events.
  • Lopesan Serenity Bay Spa & Casino is an adults-only property with 239 rooms, exclusive dining venues, tranquil pool areas and wellness-focused spaces. Guests also have access to the broader resort complex’s restaurants, entertainment and nightlife.
  • Families are the focus at Lopesan Splash Cove Spa & Casino, a 242-room resort featuring a wave pool, water park attractions, sports programming and entertainment designed for multigenerational travel.

Connecting all three properties is The Boulevard, an open-air promenade featuring restaurants, cocktail bars, shopping, nightlife, an 820-seat theatre and a casino, creating what the company describes as a town-centre-style social hub.

“This expansion marks a defining moment for Lopesan Hotel Group in the Caribbean and reflects our continued investment in Punta Cana as one of the region’s most important luxury travel destinations,” said Carlos Jimenez, Lopesan Caribbean Regional Director. “We are incredibly proud to officially welcome our first guests and introduce a connected resort experience that brings a new perspective to the modern all-inclusive.”

The project is also expected to have a significant economic impact locally, creating approximately 700 jobs during the initial opening phase, with more than 1,100 positions anticipated once the resort complex reaches full operational capacity.

According to Lopesan Hotel Group, the new properties are also pursuing the same AAA Four Diamond recognition earned by Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort Spa & Casino.
