MIAMI — Kimpton has entered the all-inclusive market with the opening of Kimpton Tres Ríos – All Inclusive, a 355-room luxury resort set within a 340-acre nature preserve in Mexico’s Riviera Maya.

Managed by Hotel Equities, the opening marks the company’s expansion into the all-inclusive segment and further growth across the Caribbean and Latin America.

Located along the Cancún-Tulum corridor in Playa del Carmen, the resort combines upscale accommodations and dining with nature-focused experiences tied to its protected setting. Rooms and suites range from mangrove-view accommodations to multi-bedroom suites and a presidential suite, with many offering direct pool access.

DINING AND WELLNESS

Kimpton Tres Ríos features seven restaurants and five bars, including Italian restaurant Bacetto and Japanese concept Kotori. Six restaurants and four bars are scheduled to debut this fall, with Mediterranean restaurant Elaia and adults-only rooftop bar Nebbia expected to follow in early 2027.

The resort’s 10,000-square-foot Kej Spa offers hydrotherapy, massage and beauty treatments, along with rituals inspired by Mayan traditions, including temazcal and a signature cenote-themed treatment.

A two-storey fitness centre includes cardio and weight training on the ground floor, with separate upstairs studios for cycling, yoga and stretching.

EXPERIENCES & GROUPS

The surrounding nature preserve includes three freshwater rivers and 10 cenotes, with guided nature trails and kayaking available to guests.

Families are also a focus, with four outdoor pools and beachside programming for children through Club Aventuras.

Dogs weighing up to 23 kilograms are welcome for an additional fee and can join guests on the resort’s jungle landscapes and eco trails.

Kimpton brand touches have also been carried into the all-inclusive format, including evening Social Hour and morning Kickstart service.

The resort also offers indoor and outdoor venues for weddings and celebrations, with on-property event coordinators, customizable menus and group room blocks available.

The addition of Kimpton Tres Ríos builds on Hotel Equities’ growing Caribbean and Latin America portfolio, which includes operations in the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Turks & Caicos and Uruguay.
