TORONTO — Capacity cuts and network adjustments continue as airlines navigate this year’s sky-high jet fuel costs.

The latest change impacts Vancouver – Singapore flights with Air Canada. According to Aeroroutes, Air Canada will discontinue its YVR-SIN service by the end of January 2027. 

Air Canada launched the route in April 2024 as the only nonstop flight between Canada and Singapore. Stretching 12,818 kilometres, the route is currently Air Canada’s longest flight by distance, with a flying time of up to 16 hours and five minutes.

YYZ-ZIHUATANEJO FLIGHTS OFF FUTURE SCHEDULES

According to airline consulting firm Ailevon Pacific, Air Canada has also removed its Toronto – Zihuatanejo flights from future schedules. 

The YYZ-ZIH flights were scheduled to operate Oct. 29, 2026 through April 29, 2027.
