Here’s what travellers are covered for with Manulife’s COVID-19 Pandemic Travel Plan

TORONTO — Manulife’s COVID-19 Pandemic Travel Plan has given immeasurable peace of mind to Canadians who had no choice but to travel during the pandemic.

And that’s meant peace of mind for travel agents too.

“It’s been a challenging year for us all, no doubt about that. And travel has been the last thing on most people’s minds. But for some Canadians, travel has been necessary, and there’s no more important time to have travel insurance than during a global pandemic,” says Manulife.

That’s why Manulife designed the COVID-19 Pandemic Travel Plan.

When clients travel with this coverage, they have protection not just for traditional emergency medical expenses, but for COVID-19 related expenses as well.

With the COVID-19 Pandemic Travel Plan, clients are covered for:

  • $5,000,000 CAD in emergency medical coverage on a land or cruise vacation, including coverage for COVID-19 if the client is fully vaccinated.
  • $1,000,000 CAD in emergency medical coverage for COVID-19 on a land vacation if the client is not fully vaccinated. No coverage for COVID-19 on a cruise vacation if the client is not fully vaccinated.
  • Quarantine expenses after a positive COVID-19 test result during their trip, up to Cdn$150 per person or Cdn$300 per family per day for 14 days if the original trip and policy duration is 31 days or more.

Conditions, limitations, and exclusions apply. See policy for details.

As Manulife notes, there’s never been a more important time to make sure clients feel more secure during their travels.
