Globus has close-to-home itineraries for 2022

TORONTO — Globus is reminding travellers that “there’s so much to see, this side of the sea,” with several close-to-home getaway options in 2022.

“For travellers interested in staying near ‘home sweet home’ with a backyard getaway, we’re excited to pave the road back to travel,” says Stéphanie Bishop, managing director for the Globus family of brands. “This includes getaways that offer travellers the beauty they expect from North America with a flair of Europe they’ve been missing.”

As an added incentive, travellers who book a 2022 Globus North America vacation can save $300 per couple today. Here are some suggested itineraries:

  • California Classics (10 days): This itinerary travels along California’s Central Coast, highlighting its cute cottages, towering bluffs, quaint cafés and wineries.
  • Cape Cod & the Islands (8 days): For those craving the French Riviera, this itinerary along the Northeast’s coast features breezy coastal walkways and architectural wonders from the gilded age in Newport, Rhode Island.
  • Majestic Rockies (11 days): Reminiscent of Switzerland’s majestic peaks, the Canadian Rockies are equally spectacular on this close-to-home getaway.
  • Québec in Depth with the Gaspé Peninsula (11 days): While on this journey, guests will enjoy the café-lined promenades of Québec City and the music-filled streets of Montreal.
  • Wonders of the Maritimes & Scenic Cape Breton (9 days): Nova Scotia is home to the largest Scottish Gaelic-speaking community outside of Scotland. While on this journey, guests will see red-and-white-striped lighthouses, salty fishing harbours and towering cliffside coasts that mirror the destination’s Scottish roots.
  • Historic Cities of Eastern Canada (9 days): No place does Europe better than Québec City and Montreal. Highlights include cobblestoned streets, café-lined town squares and beautiful basilicas.
