TORONTO — G Adventures is marking Canada Day by unveiling a new Geluxe itinerary on Vancouver Island, releasing new booking data for Canadian travellers and launching a travel advisor campaign centred around Canada’s signature Caesar cocktail.
The company says bookings for domestic travel have increased 207% year over year, prompting the introduction of its newest Canadian itinerary. The premium Geluxe trip to Vancouver Island combines active outdoor experiences with upgraded accommodations, coastal culture and Indigenous storytelling shared by local knowledge keepers.
The announcement comes alongside the release of new booking trends showing continued demand for both domestic and international destinations among Canadian travellers.
“G Adventures was born right here in Canada, and our identity dictates how we show up globally in a way no other small-group travel company can replicate,” said David Green, VP Customer & Sales Operations and Managing Director, Canada for G Adventures.
“We build every single itinerary around core Canadian values: empathy, openness, community and kindness. Our spirit is shaped by global connection but our heart is 100 per cent homegrown.”
BOOKING DATA
According to G Adventures, Peru remains its top-booked destination for Canadians for the third consecutive year. The operator offers nearly 70 itineraries in the destination, ranging from the Lares Trek and train journeys to Machu Picchu to Lake Titicaca at a local homestay.
China is seeing one of the strongest increases in demand, with Canadian bookings up 141% year over year. The company attributes the growth to travellers seeking more immersive experiences, including hands-on dumpling-making classes and community dining at Planeterra partner, Jia Community Restaurant.
France has also emerged as one of the top five destinations for Canadians this summer, with bookings up 30%. G Adventures points to growing interest in itineraries focused on slow travel, including vineyards of Burgundy and its Local Living Toulouse.
Solo travel continues to gain momentum, with bookings by Canadian solo travellers up 15% year over year. Women account for 72% of those bookings, while Moroccois the most-booked destination in the company’s Solo-ish travel style, which is designed to foster connections among solo travellers and includes visits to women-led community tourism initiatives like the AFER Women’s Association in rural M’Hayato.
The company also highlighted growing interest in several newer destinations and experiences. Dominica, where G Adventures recently introduced its first itineraries as the first global small-group operator to offer tours on the island, features premium Geluxe trips focused on hiking, snorkelling and wildl ife encounters. Meanwhile, bookings for Arctic expeditions aboard G Expedition continue to grow in record numbers, with select departures offering the opportunity to view the 2026 eclipse from the ship.
THE CAESAR GUIDE

To celebrate the destinations featured in the booking data, G Adventures has partnered with Chef Siobhan Detkavich, a Top Chef Canada alum and travel advisor, to create The Great Canadian Caesar Guide.
Inspired by the company’s “embrace the bizarre” philosophy, the guide pairs seven destinations with elaborate Caesar cocktail creations, each reflecting local flavours, ingredients and travel experiences. Featured destinations include Vancouver Island, China, France, Morocco, Peru, Dominica and the Arctic.
The campaign is also designed to help travel advisors engage clients in new ways.
“We want our agent community to look at this campaign as a license to be boldly unconventional,” said Green. “In a world of generic holiday emails, sending a client an over-the-top, destination-themed Caesar recipe paired with a 207 per cent domestic surge stat is how you cut through the noise.
“Embracing the bizarre isn’t just a fun slogan; it’s a legitimate business tactic. It sparks conversations, showcases your personality as an advisor, and positions you as the gatekeeper to the exact kind of unique, off-the-beaten-path local experiences modern travellers are craving.”
