Foodie houseboating adventure a great option for exploring Ontario

TORONTO — A five-day jaunt in northern Ontario could include a canoeing adventure in Temagami, a burger and poutine dinner at Hoagie’s Diner in North Bay, and a quick stop for a selfie at Sudbury’s Big Nickel.

A three-day getaway in the Niagara region could take in a helicopter ride above Niagara Falls, bicycling in wine country and a vinotherapy spa treatment using local grape skins.

The Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership, a government agency, is offering a list of “curated experiences” on 13 suggested itineraries.

The trips also include two days of gastronomic indulgence in Prince Edward County, four days houseboating in the Kawartha Lakes, and seven days exploring the north shore of Lake Superior.
