Experts to sail in 2020 with Paul Gauguin Cruises

BELLEVUE, WA — It will be an ‘expert’ year for Paul Gauguin Cruises, which has revealed its 2020 lineup special guest sailings in the South Pacific.

All experts in their respective fields, including wine, photography, fine art, music and oceanography, these special guests are meant to elevate each sailing, providing guests knowledgeable insight and authentic experiences.

They include Daniel and Sam Baron who, between them, boast 60 years of grape-growing and winemaking experience on three continents. Guests will enjoy a wine tasting and lecture by these passionate winemakers on the Feb. 15 ‘Tahiti & the Society Islands’ voyage.

A rising star among French magicians, Nicolas del Pozo perfected his skills in Las Vegas where he met the greatest illusionists in the world. His mesmerizing show can be seen on the following sailings: March 7 ‘Cook Islands & Society Islands’; March 28 ‘Society Islands, Cook Islands, Tonga & Fiji’; April 11 ‘Fiji to Bali’; June 6 ‘Fiji, Tonga, Cook & Society Islands’; and June 17 ‘Society Islands & Tuamotus’.

Guests can expect a fun evening of dancing and singing with musicians Marc Otway and Abi Uttley. The talented duo will perform upbeat classics through the decades on the following cruises: March 7 ‘Cook Islands & Society Islands’; Nov. 11 ‘Society Islands & Tuamotus’; and Nov. 21 ‘Marquesas, Tuamotus & Society Islands’.

Photography buffs can pick the brain of Douglas Peebles, who has been photographing the South Pacific and Hawaii for 40 years. His work has been published in nearly 70 books and other publications, including National Geographic Traveler. He will offer photography presentations during the March 28 ‘Society Islands, Cook Islands, Tonga & Fiji’ voyage as well as the April 11 ‘Fiji to Bali’ sailing.
