Exodus offering 50% off e-bike upgrades

SEATTLE — Exodus Travels has launched a new promotion that includes 50% off the price of an e-bike supplement.

Running from Aug. 8-31, 2022, for departures between Sept. 1, 2022 and Dec. 31, 2023, the promotion is available on 98 of the company’s cycling itineraries worldwide by using the promo code EBIKE2022 at the time of booking. A limited number of e-bikes are available on each departure so booking early is recommended.

“Electric bikes have gone from a niche luxury item to an integral mode of transportation for many people around the world,” says Robin Brooks, Marketing Director at Exodus Travels. “They are equally valuable for cycling trips, taking the strain out of consecutive cycling days while also ideal for couples or groups of friends where one person is an avid cyclist and the others are not. E-bikes remove barriers for those who want to experience a cycling trip but are worried about keeping up.”

According to market research firm NPD Group, e-bike sails are seeing unprecedented levels of growth, up 145% from 2019 to 2020. And growth is projected to continue, with Deloitte forecasting 130 million e-bikes selling between 2020 and 2023 worldwide.

Brooks adds: “A flexible and eco-friendly mode of transportation, e-bikes are a great way to do everything from tackling traffic jams, to exploring rugged coastlines, hilltop villages and accessing far-reaching coastal views. It’s also a great way to reduce your carbon footprint while also providing a seamless way to immerse yourself in a destination.”

A few samples of cycling adventures included in the new promotion are:

  • Cycling the Camino de Santiago: New for 2022, this nine-day, self-guided cycling tour starts in Leon then travels through the Galician countryside, ending at Santiago de Compostela’s majestic Baroque cathedral, the last resting place of St. James the Apostle.
