TORONTO — The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) is hitting the open road this season with its Fall Destination Update Seminars, meeting with Canadian travel advisors in seven cities across the country.
Running from Oct. 19 to 28, the in-person events will highlight tourism developments, including the return of more properties to the marketplace and a robust schedule of new and returning flights and gateways.
The seminars will also give advisors the opportunity to connect with tourism partners and gather information to help them plan Jamaican getaways for their clients.
“Travel advisors play an important role in connecting Canadians with Jamaica,” said Angella Bennett, Regional Director of Canada for the Jamaica Tourist Board. “Our Fall Destination Update Seminars are an opportunity to share the latest news from the destination and bring advisors together with our tourism partners, helping them plan memorable Jamaican getaways for their clients.”
After visiting Ottawa on Oct. 19, the seven-city tour will continue in Kingston on Oct. 20, London on Oct. 22, Toronto/GTA on Oct. 23, Calgary on Oct. 26, Edmonton on Oct. 27 and Winnipeg on Oct. 28.
Events begin at 5:30 p.m., with advisor registration and arrival starting at 5 p.m. The evening program includes a trade show and supplier networking, dinner, presentations from the JTB and its partners and closing activities.
Travel advisors can register through the Maple Leaf Room.
