Windstar launches new ‘Peace of Mind Promise’ for 2026-2027 sailings

MIAMI — Windstar Cruises has launched a new booking initiative designed to provide travellers and travel advisors with greater flexibility and confidence when planning future voyages.

The new Peace of Mind Promise applies to eligible 2026 and 2027 sailings and includes itinerary protection covering the full Windstar-booked journey, including the cruise, shore excursions, hotels, air and transfers. The program is automatically included at no additional cost on eligible departures through March 31, 2027, and applies to both new bookings and existing reservations already under deposit.

Guests who cancel up to seven days prior to departure can retain the majority of their trip value as a Future Cruise Credit valid for 24 months and redeemable on any Windstar sailing worldwide.

The launch comes as travellers continue to seek flexibility amid ongoing uncertainty around international travel planning and booking windows.

“Travellers are paying close attention to the headlines as they plan their vacations, and advisors need flexibility and reassurance when helping clients book with confidence,” said Janet Bava. “Our new Peace of Mind program gives guests the ability to secure today’s best offers while knowing their investment is protected through March 2027.”

Brava added that the program is also intended to support travel advisors in a cautious booking environment, particularly as travellers continue to prioritize cancellation flexibility before committing to international travel.

“With the Peace of Mind Promise, advisors can confidently recommend Windstar knowing their clients have flexibility built in, plus the option of additional insurance coverage when appropriate,” she said.

ALL-INCLUSIVE OFFER

The program also coincides with a limited-time complimentary All-Inclusive offer available on bookings made through June 30, 2026. The promotion includes Wi-Fi, gratuities and select beverages, representing more than US$1,300 in value on a seven-day voyage for two.

Featured itineraries for 2026 and 2027 include Alaskan Splendors, Bella Italia: A Southern Italian Romance, Classic Caribbean, Dreams of Tahiti, Grand Japan and Treasures of the Greek Isles.

In addition to the new booking initiative, Windstar continues to offer optional Travel Protection plans that include coverage for medical expenses abroad, trip interruptions, luggage delays and other travel-related issues.
