MIAMI — Virgin Voyages is expanding its Status Match program for a limited time.

Available through April 26, the cruise line is opening up its Sailing Club Status Match to honour other airline and hotel loyalty programs. Typically, Status Match only applies to other cruise loyalty programs.

This means that travel loyalists part of Marriott Bonvoy, American Airlines’ AAdvantage, Delta SkyMiles and Hilton Honors (among many others) will gain access to Virgin Voyages’ ‘Blue Extras,’ with perks like one free bag of laundry, specialty coffee, access to an exclusive cocktail event and more.

Applicable loyalty programs include:

  • United MileagePlus
  • American Airlines AAdvantage
  • Delta SkyMiles
  • Southwest Rapid Rewards
  • Frontier Miles
  • JetBlue TrueBlue
  • Marriott Bonvoy
  • Hilton Honors
  • World of Hyatt
  • Choice Privileges
  • IHG One Rewards
  • Wyndham Rewards
  • Radisson Rewards
  • Best Western Rewards

To take advantage of this limited-time offer, cruisers will need to book one of the select voyages during Virgin Voyages’ ‘Sail & Save’ promo, which runs from April 24-26, 2024, with voyages starting at US$99 per person, per night. They will then need to submit proof of their travel loyalty program by April 26 at this link. Blue Extra Perks will then be granted on their first voyage.
