Costsaver to add six new trips, plus Egypt to 2020 lineup

TORONTO — Costsaver has expansion in its sights, announcing six new trips for 2020 and the addition of Egypt for the first time to its growing portfolio.

Totalling 41 trips, the 2020 season offers plenty of ways for guests to make their trip their own through a selection of optional experiences and free time to enjoy each destination the way they want. Like the company’s tagline suggests, ‘Essential by Us, Tailored by You’, its trip style is perfect for those who prefer flexibility and a more independent way to travel.

“From launching Egypt, and expanding into more of Portugal, Italy, Turkey and Scotland, we’re recognizing where our guests, both new and returning want to go, and we’re making sure that we’re ready to take them there in 2020,” said Michael Unrath, Head of Product for Costsaver Europe & Britain. “Clients are telling us that they love the reassurance of the essentials, but it’s really the flexibility of more options that meet their needs and wants when they travel, so we’re excited to be giving them what they’re looking for, at a great price that they couldn’t get if they booked it themselves.”

Following the success of its Italy series, Costsaver is expanding with a brand new 10-day ‘Essence of Italy’ itinerary featuring visits to Verona and Bologna. This trip includes hand-selected, three- and four-star hotels, transportation on air-conditioned coaches, and a private cruise through Venice. Guests have full flexibility to personalize this holiday with carefully curated optional experiences such as skipping the lines at the Vatican and Colosseum, and plenty of free time.

The brand is also expanding to some of Europe and Britain’s most in-demand destinations in 2020, including Portugal and Scotland. The new seven-day ‘Picturesque Portugal’ is the first Costsaver trip to focus solely on this one destination, where clients will explore Lisbon and the medieval wonders of Porto.

The new seven-day ‘Majestic Scotland’ is also the first Costsaver trip to feature Scotland on its own, featuring historic Edinburgh, Loch Lomond and Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain.

The same applies to Turkey with the new ‘Treasures of Turkey’, which features a brand new destination for Costsaver – Safranbolu.

There’s also the new 17-day ‘Discover the Baltics and Russia’, which combines two of the brand’s most popular trips into one comprehensive journey. Highlights include Riga, Warsaw and Tallinn, not to mention the grand sights of Russia such as the Red Square in Moscow and the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg.

Lastly, in the new destination of Egypt, the nine-day ‘Footsteps of the Pharaohs’ includes a number of once-in-a-lifetime experiences, like sailing along the Nile, seeing the treasures of Tutankhamun and exploring the Great Pyramids of Giza. Guests will also have plenty of time to show at local souks and relax over local treats.

To ensure guests get the most out of their holiday, Costsaver’s ‘ready to go rate’ ensures that the price they see today can only go up, never down. Plus, included optional experiences range from everything from a traditional dinner in Lithuania and a tour of the Royal Yacht Britannia, to a cruise down the Douro River in Portugal. The brand continues to expand its new range of optional experiences for 2020, with more going live in the coming months.
