Bookings open for AmaWaterways’ 2021 river cruises, save 5% on select rooms

CALABASAS — AmaWaterways has opened the books for its 2021 season featuring four new itineraries, a new state-of-the-art ship, new pre- and post-cruise land programs in Europe as well as early booking rewards.

The cruise line is set to debut four new seven-night cruise itineraries in 2021, all of which are complemented by pre- or post-cruise land programs. These include:

• ‘Impressions of the Seine & Paris’, which sails onboard AmaDante from Paris to Le Havre (or reverse). Land options include pre-cruise for two nights in Paris, and post-cruise for three nights in St. Malo with a visit to Mont St. Michel and one night in Paris.

• ‘Essence of Burgundy & Provence’ onboard AmaCello sails from Chalon-sur-Saône to Arles (or reverse). Land options include pre-cruise for three nights in Geneva, and post-cruise for three nights in Barcelona.

• ‘Rhine Castles & Swiss Alps’ onboard AmaMora and AmaSerena sails from Amsterdam to Basel (or reverse). Land options include pre-cruise for two nights in Amsterdam, and post-cruise for three nights in Lake Como, Italy.

• ‘Best of Holland & Belgium’ onboard the AmaSerena, roundtrip from Amsterdam with visits to Utrecht and Dordrecht. Land options include pre- and post-cruise for two nights in Amsterdam.

The cruise line will also debut a new land extension in the Champagne region of France where guests can visit acclaimed vineyards and savour tastings of Veuve Clicquot and Moet et Chandon. This land program will be available as an add-on to ‘Europe’s Rivers & Castles’, ‘Rhine & Moselle Splendors’ and ‘Vineyards of the Rhine & Moselle’ itineraries.

Joining AmaWaterways’ European fleet in March 2021 is the new 156-passenger AmaLucia, sister ship to AmaSiena (coming in 2020). AmaLucia will feature signature twin balconies, connecting staterooms and multiple dining venues including The Chef’s Table. The ship will set sail on march 16, 2021 with a series of ‘Tulip Time’ cruises before embarking on the Danube, Rhine, Main and Moselle rivers.

In response to the growing demand for more French itineraries, AmaWaterways will be repositioning three ships, in addition to the AmaKristina moving to the Rhône: AmaDante to the Seine where it will join AmaLyra, AmaCello will sail a new itinerary on both the Rhône and Saône rivers, and AmaBella and AmaVerde will rejoin the European fleet to sail the Dutch & Belgian waterways and the Danube.

Guests booking by April 30, 2020 will receive 5% cruise savings on balcony staterooms and suites (excluding holiday cruises), plus free pre-paid gratuities for all 2021 Mekong and Europe cruises and up to $1,800 savings per stateroom on select departures. For 2021 holiday cruises, the company is welcoming the season early with Holiday Triple Savings including $1,200 off per person, a complimentary stateroom upgrade and $50 per person onboard credit.
