AMResorts brings all-inclusive pricing to Puerto Rico with new-build Dreams property

PHILADELPHIA — AMResorts has announced its first signed resort brand management deal for 2016: Dreams Puerto Rico Resort & Spa. The 250-room, new-build property will be the only true all-inclusive resort on the island, located in the southwestern coastal town of Guánica.

While Puerto Rico has traditionally been more of a vacation spot for Americans than Canadians, the all-inclusive pricing model so popular in this market could open the island up to a wider audience.

“We’re excited to enter a destination that has yet to discover the substantial benefits of the all-inclusive model,” said Alex Zozaya, CEO of AMResorts parent company Apple Leisure Group. “We are confident our innovative product and vacation concept will set itself apart.”

Dreams Puerto Rico will be the 15th resort for the Dreams Resorts & Spas brand. It is scheduled to open October 2018 and will bring the family-friendly brand’s signature Unlimited-Luxury concept. Signature program offerings include: limitless à la carte dining with no reservations required, 24-hour room and concierge service, complimentary mini-bars refreshed daily, an unlimited premium beverage program and comprehensive day and nighttime activities. There’s also a Dreams Spa by Pevonia.

Dreams Puerto Rico will be located less than 20 minutes away from the Guánica Dry Forest, the largest dry coastal forest region in the world and a UNESCO-designated world biosphere reserve. The region is also known for its pristine and crystal-clear Caribbean waters, ideal for swimming, surfing, snorkeling and diving.

“Guánica is a hidden gem in Puerto Rico and one of the best places to experience the island’s diverse beauty, making it the perfect destination to expand our Caribbean presence,” said Gonzalo del Peon, President of AMResorts.
