AMResorts’ agent loyalty program now has 45,000 participants

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — AMResorts’ travel agent loyalty program continues to be a hit among agents, seeing unprecedented growth in registration last year.

More than 45,000 agents have registered for AMRewards, shattering previous participation records with a 3% increase year-over-year in bookings entered.

Agents also maximized their rewards like never before, redeeming 16% more points in 2019 than the previous year. Points were redeemed for new promotions, such as discounted points stays and 50% off the booking bonus redemptions just in time for Christmas shopping.

“In our fifth year, the AMRewards program has developed a loyal following within the travel agent community with the incentives and value of the tools and resources provided,” said Mary Ellen Burke, National Director of Sales, AMResorts. “After an unprecedented year of growth, we are excited to continue to develop new innovations and build the program to provide the biggest and best benefits for our agents, who work to deliver exquisite experiences for their clients.”

The company credits continued upgrades and rewarding promotions for the program’s expansion last year, and forecasts an even stronger 2020. To continue momentum, AMResorts has announced a new promotion in which it will give away a stay a month to an agent entering their first booking in 2020.

This year, agents will get the chance to redeem their rewards points to visit four new resorts opening in the beginning of 2020. These include: Dreams Vista Cancun Resort & Spa, a contemporary family resort in the gated community of Puerta del Mar (opening February); Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana, a family-friendly luxury hotel on Macao Beach in the D.R. (opening March); Now Natura Riviera Cancun, a family-friendly beachfront property in Riviera Maya (opening March); and Secrets St. Martin Resort & Spa, AMResorts’ first property on the island and its first in the French Caribbean (opening March).

Agents can also opt to use their points to further reward their clients. Through the program, they can surprise their guests with extra perks like a spa treatment, breakfast in bed, or a romantic dinner for two.
