TORONTO — Porter Airlines is expanding its Toronto network with the launch of new service between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Nashville, while also reintroducing flights between Toronto Pearson International Airport and Québec City.

Daily service between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) and Nashville International Airport (BNA) launched on May 11 using Porter’s De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft.

The new route links downtown Toronto with one of the United States’ most popular leisure destinations and further expands Porter’s U.S. network from Billy Bishop, where the carrier has operated transborder service since 2008.

Porter also noted that the recently opened U.S. Customs Preclearance facility at Billy Bishop Airport is expected to provide added convenience for travellers flying to the United States.

Meanwhile, service between Toronto Pearson (YYZ) and Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) resumes on May 12 with 12 weekly roundtrip flights operated on Porter’s Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.

The route complements Porter’s existing Billy Bishop-Québec City service while also enhancing onward connectivity through Toronto Pearson to destinations across Western Canada, including Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Kelowna.

Passengers travelling through Québec City will also have access to connecting flights with Air Transat’s European network, including destinations such as Lisbon, Rome, Venice, Paris and Amsterdam.

Porter’s Toronto Pearson operation now includes more than 30 routes across North America, Mexico, the Caribbean and Costa Rica.

Porter continues to position itself as an elevated economy carrier, offering passengers no middle seats, complimentary beer and wine served in glassware and premium snacks on all flights.

Flights operated on the Embraer E195-E2 aircraft also include complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi for all passengers.

The airline’s PorterReserve fare option includes additional amenities such as fresh meals, extra legroom seating, premium cocktails, priority check-in and flexible ticketing options, while many of these features are also available à la carte through PorterClassic fares.
