MONTREAL — Air Canada has activated its flexible rebooking policy amid the B.C. wildfires.

The airline is allowing travellers to make alternative travel arrangements if need be.

Passengers can make voluntary changes to their itinerary if …

• Air Canada ticket purchase was no later than Aug. 12, 2026, for travel Aug. 13 – 18, 2026; and
• The itinerary includes a flight to, from or through Cranbrook (YXC), Kamloops (YKA) or Kelowna (YLW)

Says Air Canada: “If you’re scheduled to travel during the affected period, you can retrieve your booking to change your flight, free of charge, to another date between August 13, 2026, and August 31, 2026, subject to availability in the cabin you originally purchased. Outside of those dates, any fare difference will apply.”
