Air Canada rolls out Embarq platform for small and medium-sized businesses

MONTREAL — Air Canada is giving Canadian small and medium-sized businesses a new way to manage travel with the launch of Air Canada Embarq, a self-serve platform that brings travel management, tracking and rewards together in one place.

Part of Air Canada for Business, Air Canada Embarq is designed for Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises and non-profit organizations looking to manage business travel without the complexity of a fully managed travel program.

“Canadian entrepreneurs and growing businesses need simple, flexible tools that help them connect with customers, partners and opportunities across Canada and globally,” said Alexandre Lefèvre, Vice President of Network Planning and Global Sales at Air Canada. “Air Canada Embarq reflects our ongoing investment in innovative solutions that are tailored to help Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises connect, grow and succeed.”

CENTRALIZED TRAVEL MANAGEMENT

Through Air Canada Embarq, registered Canadian businesses and non-profit organizations can enrol and book business travel directly through aircanada.com. Travellers can use their Aeroplan account and select Business travel when making a booking, with eligible trips automatically recognized and attributed to their company.

The platform provides companies with a centralized hub and built-in reporting, giving travel managers greater visibility into company travel activity. Company travel arrangers can also book on behalf of employees, helping reduce administrative work.

There is no minimum travel spend requirement and no cost to join the platform. Participating businesses also have direct access to a dedicated Air Canada for Business support team.

REWARDS FOR BUSINESS TRAVELLERS

Companies and travellers enrolled in Air Canada Embarq have access to Air Canada’s global network, including connections through key Canadian and international hubs, as well as rewards through Aeroplan and Air Canada’s status programs.

Eligible individual travellers can also earn 50% more Aeroplan points on eligible flown business trips. The additional points consist of the base Aeroplan points plus a 0.5x bonus, subject to applicable conditions.

Air Canada Embarq is supported by technology developed through Air Canada’s partnerships with ZS, a global management consulting and technology firm, and Traverse, powered by ARC.

Businesses and non-profit organizations can enrol at no cost through aircanada.com/embarq.
